Lyon

The Olympique Lyonnais club, better known as Lyon, was established in 1950 at Lyon, France. They are currently the champions of France, having won the Ligue 1 title seven consecutive years, since 2002, which is a record that no other club in France has done. The team has won as well many other honours such as four Coupe de France titles, one UEFA Intertoto Cup and has appeared at the UEFA Champions League in seven occasions.

The team has a good rivalry with Saint-Étienne, team that was considered as the biggest club in France formerly. They play a well known game called the Derby du Rhône. Currently Lyon has participated in 50 seasons at Ligue 1 and only 9 seasons at Ligue 2, which remarks their dynasty over the year’s en the elite Ligue 1. 

During its time at Ligue 1, Lyon has added 745 victories, 617 losses and 463 draws. At season 2007-08, Lyon won their seventh Ligue 1 title and finished with 79 points and a record of 24 wins, 7 loses and 7 draws.
