Eintracht Frankfurt

The biggest and most successful club team in Frankfurt, Eintracht has traditionally played in the top German football league or thereabouts since its organization in 1899.

The team was one of the founding members of the Bundesliga. They suffered relegation from the top division for the first time since league reconstruction in 1997 and since then they have jumped between the Bundesliga and the Second Bundesliga several times.

Besides their main football club, the organization also runs an amateur team and several youth teams in various levels of the German football league system.

Manager Friedhelm Funkel wants Eintracht Frankfurt to strengthen in all of its positions. The team has made steady improvements over the past seasons, similar to Hannover, and with the help of some expensive investments they hope to take the next step up in the Bundesliga.
