Hoffenheim

After expanding and modernizing in 1945, the club went from the eighth division Baden-Württemberg A-Liga, all the way to the Verbandsliga and Oberliga Baden-Württemberg by the early 21st century.

During 2006, the team made some important investments bringing players with Bundesliga experience to the squad.

This proved to be a very good decision because that same year, the team reached the Second Bundesliga, and only one season after, they reached the German first division for the first time in the team’s history.

Manager Rangnick is making an effort to conclude a positive 2008-2009 campaign; the team will be tested, as they will be playing Germany’s top Elite teams.
