Created in 1899, the AC Milan decided to be a class A elite team and stay on top of their contenders by focusing on the foreign market.

Unfortunately, management disagreements on that plan of action divided the club and the group of members that left the organization formed a new club in 1908, the Internazionale Milano.

From 1910 to 1950 the club could not achieved a national title, but early 60's proved different on team expectations and the team started to become more sucessful, until 1980 when the got involved in the Totonero Scandal, which acussed them of fixing games for money. As a result of this, they were relegated to Serie B.

By 1986, in Serie A again, the team started the best era of the team, winning several local and European titles.

Not learning from past mistakes, in 2006 the team was involved on the Italian match fixing scandals and was sentenced to a two year probation.

Nevertheless, the team had a very successful 2006-07 season in European competitions, finishing with the UEFA Champions League title and the UEFA Super Cup.
