From 1983 all the way to 2007 season, the team has survived amazing transitions.

During 1956-57 they were regulars on Division 3, but by 1976-82 Division 2 was achieved. The club vanished during 1981-82 due to economical problems, but was renovated back in 1983.

Bernd Schuster may have moved onto coaching territory during 07-08, new at Real Madrid, but his hungry young replacement isn’t lacking when it comes to top level football experience either.

The speed of Victor Muñoz’s at picking up the coaching reigns could be the factor that keeps Getafe in the Primera Division during 08-09.
