In 1920 history begun for this club. They were promoted to the second division for the first time in the season 1931-32. A couple of years later the team ascended to the first division, in the season 1934-35. Since then, they were back and forth a couple of times
The 2004-05 was certainly a historic campaign for Osasuna. Los Rojillos, coached by Mexican Javier Aguirre, managed to linger in First Division and for their third time ever, they earned a spot to play UEFA Cup the following year.
