This event is a Group 1 flat race which takes place at Longchamp Racecourse, Paris, France.
It is offered for three-year-old and above thoroughbred horses which race over a distance of 2.400 meters or 1 mile 4 furlongs.
The Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe takes place yearly the first Sunday in October since 1920 and it commemorates the Allies' victory in World War I.
In the history of the race only two horses (Le Pacha - 1941 and Peintre Celebre -1997) have won the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, the Grand Prix de Paris, and the Prix du Jockey Club, which are the French Classic Races.
