Poker Tournaments Important Facts

• Since 1971 on all the World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournaments have given cash prizes to the winners.
  
  
• In 1973 the five-card stud was added as a new event to the main no limit Texas Hold’em.
  
  
• S.H.O.E (an event played with 4 different games,(S)tud 7-card, (H)oldem. (O)maha 8/B nad (E)ight or better 7-card) also was played in the past along the chinese poker, five stud, etc. Winners got the prize and in addition a gold bracelet.
  
  
• Celebrities as Patrick Bruel, Jan Sorensen and Jennifer Tilly have won WSOP bracelets in the past.
  
  
• There will be 42 events at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) covering the Poker variants in 2006.
  
  
• H.O.R.S.E (rotation between different types of poker games) was played in the past and for this 2006 poker tournament is back.
