Schleck Leads The Tour de France

Last Sunday a new leader is at the head of the Tour de France; he is the cyclist from Luxembourg Frank Schleck despite the incident he was involved in the fifteenth phase in the Alps.
The previous leader was the Australian Cadel Evans who was dethroned by Schleck at the very last part of the competition after completing more less 183 kilometers near the Prato Snowy Ski near Italy. Schleck now leads the standings with seven seconds more than the Austrian Bernhard Kohl and eight seconds above Evans.
"I want to thank my team (CSC), because it is the best of all". In the final part (of the stage) I only wanted to do a good sprint to win at the second required to obtain the yellow jersey," added Schleck.
On the other hand, Cadel Evans was just not able to surpass the CSC team riders during the stage for which he declared: "Three against one, what could be done? It was not finished yet it was near. It is a very good race."
The Credit Agricole team rider; the Australian Simon Gerrans delivered his second victory of the current Tour edition arriving before the Spaniard Egoi Martínez, of Euskaltel as well as the American Danny Even from the Garmin-Chipotle team.
The only Tour de France winner which is currently among the listed competitors; had an accident where he fractured his shoulder and femur after a terrifying fall which was caused by a collision against the fences while descending of Col d' Angel.
The physician Dr. Gerard Porter who attended the rider stated he was transferred to a nearby hospital; Pereiro teammates and other competitors stopped to see how the injured rider was. The remaining of the group Pate, Gerrans and the Spaniards José Luis Arrieta and Martínez advanced alone 12 kilometers and obtained an advantage of 17 minutes at the lead of the competition.
The Lampre team group shortened distances very willing to offer the Italian Damiano Cunego the possibility to triumph for his country. But Cunego remained in the middle of the group just 47 kilometers before the finish line escorted by the Briton David Millar and the American Christian Vande Velde.
The Spaniard Carlos Sastre, Schleck’s teammate managed to get 6.5 kilometers of the finish line at the Prato Nevoso Climb in order to stop Evans, but the Australian was able to manage to proceed without a problem. However, Evans was not able to keep up the pace and Tailor advanced to less than two kilometers.
Menchov and Kohl were too much for the Australian, who saw how Schleck accelerated right at the last part of the stage taking the yellow jersey in a blink of an eye.
We can now assure that the Tour favorites as the Australian Cadel Evans and the Russian Denis Menchov do know that they have serious contenders as the Spaniard Carlos Sastre and the same Frank Schleck who are very ambitious and victory thirsty and they will arrange their cards in order to take to Tour title home.
