Dubai Cup World's Richest Race

By Julie Smith

The Dubai Cup is the world's richest horse race supported by the UAE Derby and the Dubai Kahayla Classic for Purebred Arabians and is always held in the Nad al Sheba racecourse and this year it will be celebrated on Saturday March 31st as one of the most significant events in global thoroughbred horseracing.

United Arab Emirates has organized the race since 1996, and it became the richest horse race in 2004 when 6 million dollars in prizes were offered to the winners in a one flat group race for four year horses and over. The numbers for 2007 are clearly superior to previous years and prove what a success it has been.

Over 1,300 horses have been nominated for the meet in Dubai, including champion thoroughbreds Invasor, Red Rocks and Discreet Cat, but some others won’t have that luck and will be left aside from this competition as there a lot of winners from all around the world on that list.

This Horse World Cup is the perfect chance for horse racing fans to get amazed by all type of Carnival winning graduates line up, including Asiatic Boy, Limehouse, Quijano, Eu Tamben, Folk, Kandidate, Linngari, Kapil, Seihali, Boston Lodge, Vortex, Parole and Board on this magnificent congregate of thoroughbreds.

With this being the seventh running of the World Cup in UAE the race organizers assure the public an enormous show combined with a huge dose of hospitality. It is a fact that the Dubai Cup has become the favorite race for horse trainers and owners but also the most important event on the emirate’s social calendar.
